Nepal-The Paradise For Trekkers And Outdoor Enthusiasts

Nestled in the highest mountains in the world, sandwiched between the two giant countries India and China is the small Himalayan country Nepal. But the paradise for trekkers and outdoor enthusiasts offers not only breathtaking landscapes, ancient temples and world famous mountain tours.

The unique cultural mix of its inhabitants comprises the special charm of Nepal. More than 100 ethnic groups and 50 different languages are found here - and more gods than people, as the saying goes. You can see it in the many colorful festivals that are celebrated together in the rule of Hindus and Buddhists. Finally, the mixture of serenity, hospitality and tolerance of its people makes the country Tourist’s favorite.

Nepal is as fascinating as it is magical. The country is home to an extraordinary range in a small space: stunning landscapes, the highest mountains in the world, ancient traditions, an amazing number of ways of life and cultures.

Since the end of the monarchy in 2008, Nepal has been struggling to establish democracy and rule of law. Ten years of civil war has left its mark on the beautiful country.  The power structures are severely flawed and they obstruct and delay the required changes in politics, economy and society. However, the development has already begun with its capital city.

Nepal is actually a rich country; rich in natural resources, cultures and kind humans. The best time to visit this fascinating country is during the trekking seasons; spring and autumn. Trekking in Nepal is adventurous and lively; meeting the people whose cultures and traditions are the special attraction of Nepal is an added advantage. The serenity of the hills and the mountains makes travel easy for people who have lost touch with nature too.
