Pokhara is located about 200 kilometers west of Nepal’s
capital, Kathmandu. It is Nepal's second largest city and an obvious choice for
a holiday destination. Pokhara is located deep in the countryside of Nepal with
the eternal Machhapuchhre Mountain next to it.
Hiking Tours in the Annapurna mountain range is the most
convenient to arrange in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Also in the area rowing on the
lakes and hiking the forests of this valley are popular pastimes.
Pokhara’s climate is slightly warmer than Kathmandu due to
the difference in height between the cities. The weather in Pokhara is
appropriate for tourists all year round.
The best time to visit Pokhara are the winter months from
autumn until late spring. The temperature of mid-winter rotates around 10-15
degrees, and the sun is almost always up during winter time.
Around Pokhara are dozens of different types of hiking and
walking trails are found. Tour operators, are certainly not in short supply in
Kathmandu and Pokhara. Reliable and trained guides can be found in many tour operators in Nepal. Along the hiking
trails, inns, and restaurants or shops can be usually found in rapid succession.
The most popular hike is from Pokhara to Jomsom and the
Annapurna circuit trek. Annapurna monastery directional excursions are also
worth a try. While wandering through the mountains daily and watching
breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset, the routine of working 9-5 you
left behind strangely loses its importance.
Due to the number of tourists in Pokhara is quite advanced
celebration culture. Full Moon the party held at a swift pace, and live music
can be found in Western taste. Pokhara’s atmospheric bars are a good place to
rewind after a long trek at the Himalayas where the senses meet nature
experiences.
